After providing special facilities to the protesting farmers blocking roads, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) led Delhi Government has withdrawn the state buses provided to the Delhi Police and Paramilitary Forces on Special Hire for transporting to and from Singhu, Tikri and Ghazipur border, where farmers are blocking roads to protest against farm laws.
The protestors mainly from Punjab and Haryana are blocking roads to Delhi for over 71 days. On the order of AAP Government, DTC has directed the concerned departments to withdraw the 550 buses presently used by the forces.
The email of DTC reads, ” “It has been decided by the Competent Authority to withdraw all buses deployed on Special Hire with immediate effect. It is therefore requested to relieve buses immediately and any further requisition of buses shall be considered after the approval of the Competent Authority.” The approval of the Delhi government was a must for the requisition of buses under special hire.”
