
Gold Federation of India (GFI) will be hosting Chhattisgarh Open Golf Tournament at Mayfair Golf Course, Sector-24, Naya Raipur in the last week of February or first week of March, 2021. This will be the first such tournament in Central India.
GFI general secretary Aryavir on Thursday met with Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel at his residential office in Raipur to brief the Chief Minister on the tournament. Aryavir also requested the Chief Minister to attend the tournament.
Aryavir informed the Chief Minister, “This tournament will be beneficial for the state from tourism point of view and we can make youths of the state aware about this game.” He also informed the chief minister that Golfer from Japan, Korea and hosts India will be participating in the tournament.
Raipur Gold Course founder Mahesh Wadhwani, who was also present on the occasion, said that representatives of embassy of different countries, business community and tycoons of corporate houses will participate in the tournament. This tournament will also pave the way for investment in the state apart from promoting tourism, he said. The Chief Minister congratulated both for the tournament and assured of attending it.
Union Minister of State for Steel Faggan Singh Kulaste and Union Tourism Minister Prahlad Singh Patel will be attending the tournament, said Wadhwani.
