Ayush Makhija of Raipur bagged men’s Singles title of State Level Badminton Championship as he defeated M V Abhishek of Durg in straight sets by 21-12 and 21-18. The final was played on Sunday.
In Men’s Doubles final, Raipur pair Sujay Tamboli and Mihir Rathia defeated Durg pair Vikrant Sharma and Varun Jain in straight sets by 21-16 and 22-20.
Sujay Tamboli and Harshita Agrawal of Raipur defeated their counterpart Ayush Makhija and Deeksha Chowdhary by 22-20 and 26-24 to lift Mixed Doubles title of the championship.
Earlier, Ayush Makhija of Raipur defeated his counterpart Lokesh Yadav in straight sets by 15-8, 15-11 to enter the Men’s Singles final of State Level Badminton Championship underway at Charoda in Bhilai. In another men’s Singles final, M V Abhishek of Durg defeated his counterpart Shishir Chichkede by 15-10, 15-10 to enter the final.
Similarly, in the Men’s Doubles semi final, Raipur pair Mihir Rathia and Sujay Tamboli defeated their counterpart T J Mahendra and Adhiraj Chouhan by 15-10, 15-12 to enter the final. Ayush Makhija and Sagar Kunwar of Raipur lost their Doubles semi final to Durg pair Vikrant Sharma and Varun Jain by 17-15, 15-10.
