In a ghastly event, a 30-year-old woman from Palakkad, Kerala had slit the throat of her 6-year-old son as a sacrifice offered to please Allah on Sunday. Palakkad South Police had arrested and booked Shahida for killing her son.
Shahida, who worked as a Madarsa teacher, herself called up the police control room to report about her terrifying act. Shahida said she had slit the throat of her son named Aamil at around 4 am. As the police reached her home, they bound blood-soaked body of Aamil in the bathroom. Shahida is pregnant with her 4th child.
Shahida reportedly confessed that she had killed her son Aamil to the police. At the time of the incident, Shahida’s husband Sulaiman was asleep with two other kids. Palakkad Police invoked Section 302 of Indian Penal Code against Shahida in the FIR. Police were also considering a psychological analysis of Shahida, but she has no reported history of any mental health issues.
