Chhattisgarh Lecturers Union has expressed gratefulness to Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel for giving a go ahead to the promotion in the school education department. It is to be mentioned, the Union had submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister in this regard and in response, the Chief Minister assured of taking necessary step.
Union state president Rakesh Sharma and spokesperson Jitendra Shukla said that hundreds of posts, including post of principals, were lying vacant in the school education department. The delegation of the Union had also met with Urban Administration and Development Minister Dr Shiv Dahariya, Forest Minister Md Akbar, Mineral Development Corporation chairman Girish Dewangan and Parliamentary Secretary Vikas Upadhyaya to draw their attention towards the promotion pending in the education department. These leaders had assured of taking action.
Sharma said that the efforts of the Union has yielded results as state government in an order issued on February 10 gave green signal to the promotion in school education department including post of director, district education officer and joint director. Union general secretary Rajiv Verma, Govardhan Jha, Suresh Awasthi, K K Sharma, Ravishankar Soni and others expressed happiness over the state government decision.
