NCC cadets felicitated by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Thursday said that the mantra of success if hard work, dedication and discipline. The Chief Minister state this during a programmed at his official residence called ‘At Home with CM’ on Thursday.

While addressing NCC cadets, Baghel said that they can achieve their set goals by following the abovementioned mantras.

The NCC cadets from three wings of defence service such as Army, Navy and Air Force, who had participated in the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi and performed outstandingly, were felicitated by the Chief Minister during the function.

Facilitating the NCC cadets, the Chief Minister said it is the dream of every NCC cadet to participate in the Republic Day parade in the national capital. The Chief Minister said the NCC develops a positive approach in the life of students which cultivates a sense of patriotism, sacrifice, bravery and self-confidence among its cadets. Every NCC cadet is not only strong physically but are also mentally strong citizens who’re ready to serve the country with Armed Forces.

The Chief Minister called upon the NCC cadets to follow their motto – ‘Unity and Discipline’, and work for the country while executing their responsibilities. He also praised the work carried out by NCC cadets during COVID-19 pandemic. The Chief Minister said the NCC cadets executed their responsibilities in traffic management, medicine and food transportation, sanitation and cleanliness drive and carried out awareness campaigns towards maintaining social distancing during the pandemic and expressed their gratitude.

Major General Sanjay Sharma, Additional Director General Directorate of NCC Madhya Pradesh/Chhattisgarh, presented a detailed account of the activities and achievements carried out by NCC. Also present on the occasion were School Education Minister Dr Premsai Singh Tekam, MLA Kuldeep Juneja, Principal Secretary (School Education) Dr Alok Shukla, Collector Dr S Bharathi Dasan and senior officials of NCC Directorate.

On the occasion the Chief Minister felicitated NCC cadets Ashita Agrawal, Shruti Shastri, Himanshu Sahu, Aditya Singh, Rohit Karma, Mukund Jha, Yogindri Kashyap, Jaishree Baghel, Chandan Sahu, Sunny Berath, Siddhi Yadav and Priyanka Srivas, who participated in the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi and those who have made outstanding performance in various NCC activities. The Chief Minister also felicitated Senior NCC Officer Sita Kenwat.

The NCC cadets mesmerized one and all by colourful cultural presentation including Chhattisgarhi folk and tribal culture. They presented Ganesh Vandana, Hareli Geet, Adivasi dances including Danda Nritya, Karma, Sua, Panthi, Raut, etc.
