CGPSC holds Preliminary examination of 2020

Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) Preliminary Examination-2020 witnessed 86.52 per cent attendance in the Paper-I conducted from 10 am to 12 noon followed 85.75 per cent attendance of candidates in the Paper-II, on Sunday. The examination was conducted in two shifts at 347 centres across 17 districts of the state. The centres are Surguja (Ambikapur), Baikunthpur (Koriya), Bilaspur, Dhamtari, Durg (Bhilai), Dantewada, Bastar (Jagdalpur),  Janjgir-Champa, Jashpur, Kabirdham, Kanker, Korba, Mahasamund, Raipur, Raigarh, Rajnandgaon and Baloda Bazaar. The highest 92.58 per cent attendance of candidates was registered in the Paper-I in Kabirdham while 92.18 per cent attendance was registered in the Paper-II.

A total of 115989 candidates were enrolled for the examination, of which 100359 candidates were present in the Paper-I examination. Number of absentees was 15630. Similarly, 99464 candidates were present in the Paper-II examination. The number of absentees in the Paper-I was 13.48 per cent and absentees in the Paper-II were 14.25 per cent.

According to CGPSC Examination Controller Arti Wasnik, the examination was conducted smoothly at all the centres of the state. The officials deployed for the holding the examinations ensured the candidates follow all the Covid-19 protocols. Adequate safety measures were taken at the examination centres.
