CHHATTISGARH: Raipur Smart City Limited (RSCL) has made into the list of 63 cities of the nation selected for the “Nurturing Neighbourhood Challenge” programme.
The Nurturing Neighbourhoods Challenge is a 3-year initiative hosted by the Smart Cities Mission, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, in collaboration with the Bernard van Leer Foundation and WRI India. The Challenge enables Indian cities to adopt an early childhood lens in designing neighbourhood-level improvements that promote the health and well-being of young children and their caregivers.
RSCL was one of the 63 cities which shared its action plan in the competition. In the next phase, entries of these cities will be re-scrutinized before giving them technical assistance, financial assistance for skill-building and fixing of the pilot project for 6 months and for its implementation. It will start in August-December 2021. In this competition, 10 cities will be selected in the final list.
