WEST BENGAL: In yet another yet crime against Hindus by Islamists, a group of Muslim youths led by one Jalal reportedly vandalized idol of Maa Saraswati in the Howrah district of West Bengal on Wednesday.
According to the reports, Muslim youths vandalized the idol before the devotees could immerse it a day after the Saraswati Puja on Tuesday. The brazen attack on Hindu faith sparked an outrage among Hindu community, which staged a protest and blocked a thoroughfares to demand immediate arrest of the Muslims involved in the hate crime.
The idol was placed in a makeshift Pandal on the side of the street at Domjur in Howrah. Hindus complained that Police haven’t taken any action against Jalal. Even as the attack has been perpetrated on Hinduism, Trinamool Congress leaders blamed it all on Hindus, calling it an attempt at discrediting Muslim community.
