MBBS student arrested for conning youths

A MBBS student was arrested by Raipur Police for allegedly duping around half-dozen of youths on the pretext of ensuring job in Bhilai Steel Plant’s (BSP) health department.
“A joint squad of Civil Lines and Cyber Cell nabbed arrested a MBBS student, who was accused of PMT paper leak case, for allegedly tricking a half-dozen of youths to the tune of around Rs 26 lakh on the pretext of job in BSP’s health department,” said Cyber Cell incharge Ramakant Sahu.
Inspector Sahu further informed that the accused MBBS student Chandrasekhar Sen alias Chandan (36), hailing from Gariaband district, was arrested for allegedly duping youths on the pretext of a job. The accused was studying in Jagdalpur Medical College and since 2007, he was in first year of the MBBS course. The arrested MBBS student was accused in the infamous PMT paper leak case. From the possession of Sen, investigators have seized some documents related to the crime.
Another accused of the case identified as Nohar Sonwani was currently absconding and soon he will be in police net, added Inspector Sahu.
Sahu further informed that Sen was history-sheeter of Chura police station and several cases were pending against him in Gariaband, Mahasamund, Durg and Jagdalpur. Following the complaint of victims, Civil Lines police registered an offence against the duo under sections 34 and 420 of Indian Penal Code (IPC).
