Chhattisgarh lost yet another match of BCCI Vijay Hazare One Day Tournament, played at Surat on Monday. Winning the toss, Chhattisgarh opted to bat, but could not post a fighting total for Hyderabad.
With the help of captain Harpreet Singh Bhatia’s 99-ball 63, Ashutosh Singh’s 81-ball 51, Chhattisgarh managed to put 242 on scoreboard for the loss of seven wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. Similarly, Shashank Chandrakar (41 off 36), Shashank Singh (31 off 27) and Subham Agrawal (22 off 8 not out) had a healthy contribution to the total. Mehndi Hassan claimed three wickets for Hyderabad while T Ravi Teja took two. Ajay Dev Gaud and C V Milind took one wicket each.

Chasing the target of 243, Hyderabad won the match by seven wickets in 40.4 overs. Tanmay Agrawal hit 122 from 116 balls, Tilak Verma scored 60 off 78 and Himalay Agrawal made 49 off 36. Sumit Ruikar, Ashutosh Singh and Jivanjot Singh claimed one wicket each for Chhattisgarh.
