In a tough match, Ishaq Iqbal of West Bengal defeated Aditya Sainthil of TN in a marathon 3 hours 40 minute and three set (6-7 (5), 7-6(2), 6-3) match played on Wednesday. With the win Iqbal enter the Singles semi final of Gondwana Cup All India Tennis Tournament underway at Union Club, Chhattisgarh Club in Raipur.
Similarly, Madhwin Kamath of Gujarat defeated Ojas Theo (TN) by 6-4, 6-3, J Vishnu Vardhan (Telangana) defeated Lakshya Gupta (UP) by 6-3, 6-4 and Lohit Akash Badrinath (TN) defeated Rohan Mehra (Delhi) in a three-set match by 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 to enter the semi finals.

In Men’s Doubles quarter finals, Lakshit-Chandril Sood (Punjab) defeated Raghav Jaisinghani(MP)-Karan Singh (Haryana) by 6-2, 6-1, Parikshit Somani (Assam)/Paras Dahiya (Haryana) defeated Yash CHourasiya(UP)/Tushar Madan (Delhi) by 7-6(1), 6-3 to enter Doubles semi finals. Ishaq Iqbal (WB)-Mohit Mayur Jaiprakash (TN) defeated Yash Yadav (MP)-Madhwin Kamath (Gujarat) by 6-3, 6-4 while pair of Ankit Chopra (Punjab)-Aaditya Tiwari (MP) defeated Ojas Theo (TN)-Teerth Shashank (TN) by 6-1, 6-2 to qualify for the semi finals. Semi finals will be played at Union Club on Thursday at 10 am.
