Revision Programme for electoral rolls released

Revision programme for electoral rolls for General elections and Bye-elections were released by the Chhattisgarh State Election Commission.

Under the programme , the preliminary publication of the electoral rolls has been carried out on March 1, 2021. Accordingly, claims and objections against these electoral rolls can be submitted to the authorized officials during fixed time in places fixed by the District Collector and District Electoral Officer in-between March 1 to March 9, 2021.

Primary publication of electoral rolls for general election in Birgaon Municipal Corporation has been published on March 1, 2021. The voters can find their name by using the link –http:cgsecerms.cgstate.gov.in/urban.voter.search. The primary publication of the electoral rolls has been done at the offices of Electoral Registration Officer, Assistant Electoral Registration Officer and at the office of the concerned urban body.

Claims and objection in the electoral rolls can be made by such persons whose names are present in the prevailing Legislative Assembly Election electoral rolls but have been left out in the preliminary electoral rolls of the municipal corporation or names published in the wrong ward or there are errors in the details. Similarly, if any voter has any objection regarding publication of their names in the preliminary electoral rolls can also file their objections.

     Similarly, as per the amended provision, if anyone’s name is not present in the Assembly election electoral rolls as well as in the municipal corporation electoral rolls, then one has to get name attached in the Assembly election electoral rolls and then apply to the Registration Officer in Form A-1 latest by March 13, 2021.
