Sachin Tendulkar-led India Legends will be favourite when they take on England Legends on Tuesday under the ongoing Unacademy Road Safety World Series T20 Tournament at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Nava Raipur on Tuesday.
India , who have already won their last three matches, will have advantage in this match as openers Virendra Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar. Sehwag played a stormy innings against Bangladesh Legends in the last match.
However, toss may play crucial role in this like previous three matches. India Legends have so far been consistent with their performance in the tournament in all the departments and also on top of the table with 12 points.
On the other hand, England Legends led by Kevin Pietersen have made their winning debut in the tournament, defeating Bangladesh Legends by seven wickets in their previous match on Sunday.
The presence of all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, Yusuf Pathan and his brother Irfan Pathan in the middle order is giving the team a lot of strength. Apart from this, the pacer trio of Munaf Patel, Irfan and R Vinay Kumar are proving to be quite dangerous with the new ball. Apart from Yuvraj and Yusuf, Pragyan Ojha will also be seen in the role of spinner.
In England legends, all eyes will once again be on Pietersen, who returned to his old color against Bangladesh Legends in the last match, scoring a brilliant innings of 42 off 17 balls. However, Pietersen will have to be cautious against the bowling of these in-form India legends. In the bowling department, the team consists of experienced bowlers like Chris Tremlett, James Treadwell, Matthew Hoggard, Ryan Sidebottom and Sajid Mehmood. However, it will be interesting to see how left arm spinner Monty Panesar bowls on these slow wickets. Panesar would certainly like to bowl against Tendulkar and recall his old days bowling against him.
