Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Bhopal admires the talent of the skillful artisans. The artisans of 31 states of the country who have come to Hunar Haat will get a lot of appreciation from the people of Bhopal. Chief Minister Chouhan appealed to the people of Bhopal to see the talent of the artists who have come to the city.
Chief Minister Chouhan inaugurated Hunar Haat organised at Lal Parade Ground. Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang and Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Om Prakash Saklecha were also present on the occasion.
Union Ministry of Minority Affairs organised Hunar Haat
Artists and craftspersons from 31 states have brought their products to the Hunar Haat, the confluence of craft, cuisine and culture, organised by the Union Ministry of Minority Affairs. A total of 250 stalls have been put up at the Haat, of which 210 are of various products and 40 stalls are of different food items. 15 artisans of Madhya Pradesh are also participating in Hunar Haat.
Hunar Haat will produce Aatma-Nirbhar artisans and craftsperson
Chief Minister Chouhan said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a man of ideas. In the difficult times of Corona, he pledged for a Aatma-Nirbhar India. Inspired by this, work is going on in the state by developing a road map of Aatma-NirbharMadhya Pradesh. A Aatma-NirbharIndia cannot be possible without the Vocal for Local. The local products are not possible without the artisans. The Hunar Haat is a powerful means to provide opportunity to the artisans to display their art and make their products available to the market. Only through such forums can they become Aatma-Nirbhar artisans and Aatma-Nirbhar craftspersons. It also provides an opportunity to promote the unity of the country, mutual interaction and provides the market to the artisans at the national level. With such efforts, the products of the artisans will be recognised on a global scale.
Hunar Haat should be organised every year in Madhya Pradesh
Chief Minister Chouhan also requested Union Minister for Minority Affairs Naqvi to organise Hunar Haat in any one city of Madhya Pradesh every year. He said that India has a rich tradition of handicrafts. When the western countries were in the initial stage in textile manufacturing, our artisans proved their skills by making Dhaka’s Malmal. The artisans have also helped the society a lot during the Corona period. Their contribution to the supply of masks and PPE kits was significant.
Expresses gratitude for scholarships to minority students
Chief Minister Chouhan thanked the Union Minister for Minority Affairs Naqvi for releasing Rs 358 crore to Madhya Pradesh and providing various scholarships to 1 lakh 61 thousand 710 minority students.
Hunar Haat is an effective platform to provide opportunity and market to Swadeshi heritage
Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that with the inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Hunar Haat is an effective platform to provide opportunity and market to the Swadeshi heritage of artisans and craftspersons. It fulfills the resolve of Aatma-Nirbhar India and inclusive growth. The Union Minister informed that products of artisans participating in Hunar Haat are also available on the e-portal. He hoped that the Hunar Haat held in Bhopal would prove to be a Kumbh of admirers of talent.
Chief Minister Chouhan tastes tandoori tea
Giving information about the Hunar Haat in his address, Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that stalls of artisans have a variety of products as well as various food items. In this, he particularly praised the tandoori tea. He said that he has heard of tandoori roti, but I am hearing about tandoori tea for the first time. Chief Minister Chouhan visited the Tandoori Tea Stall and had tea after the closing session. Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang and Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Om Prakash Saklecha also relished tandoori tea. On arrival at Hunar Haat, Chief Minister Chouhan was welcomed with dance and music. He also interacted with the artisans by visiting various stalls.
