Thousands of office bearers and members of various government employees’ organisations participated in a rally organised in Raipur to push for the demand of restoration of old pension scheme.  The employees staged demonstration at Budha Talab, Raipur, on Saturday.

According to National Old Pension Restoration United Front national general secretary Virendra Dubey, the employees are in a mood for a decisive battle. Thousands of employees of almost all departments of the state marked their presence in the rally and demonstration to make send the message of solidarity, under the banner of the National Old Pension Restoration United Front.

Chhattisgarh held the first major movement for restoration of old pension in which national level leaders participated. Front general secretary Dubey, National Vice President Sanjay Sharma, State Convener Lailun Bharadwaj said the protest and demonstration has been successful.

United Front National President BPS Rawat said in his address that the retired NPS employee is facing a shortage of two time meals from the partial pension they receive. Paying a pension of Rs 500 to an employee with an employee withdrew 50000 salary is painful, they said.

Dubey said that after the demonstration, a rally was organised. A memorandum was  sent to the Prime Minister of India.
