Transmission losses in the state are now only 2.59 percent

There has been an increase of 909 MW in the available power capacity in the state this year. There is a plan to increase the available power to 1426 MW in the next financial year. The highest ever demand of 15 thousand 425 MW was fulfilled in December 31, 2020. Transmission losses are now only 2.59 percent in the state. It is one of the lowest losses in the entire country.

Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar has informed that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has taken several decisions in the interest of power consumers during the lockdown period. These decisions have given more than 1000 crores relief to consumers.

Laboratories have been built in Bhopal, Indore and Jabalpur for testing of main materials like transformers, meters, cables and conductors. Action is being taken against the defaulting companies on a trial basis. Training is being provided to outsourced employees.

Material will be purchased from local manufacturers

For the purpose of giving incentives to local manufacturers of the state, it has been decided that in future, a minimum amount of 10 percent of the total material will be purchased from them.

Feedback from consumers

Discussing power consumers from Energy Minister to Junior Engineer, they are taking feedback of the functioning of the department. In this innovation, more than 4 lakh consumers were communicated in 3 months. The satisfaction percentage in this is 97.15. Action is also being taken on complaints received from newspapers, Facebook, Twitter and other social media.

More than 26 lakh complaints resolved

All 26 lakh 33 thousand 856 complaints received through call canters from April -2020 to January -2021 have been resolved. 7 thousand 197 camps were set up for redressal of complaints related to wrongful dues of consumers. Of these, 51 thousand 267 complaints were resolved on the spot.After regular review of the power supply, electricity is being supplied for 10 hours to the agricultural consumers and 24 hours to the non-agricultural consumers. In the financial year 2020-21, the transformer failure rate was 8.9 percent in the period upto January-21, while in the last year it has been arranged to exchange the meter-reader at 9.6 percent rate per 3 months.

MOU from Terry

An MOU has been signed with “The Energy Research Institute (TERI)” to assess the demand and availability of long-term power.The distribution of subsidy to agricultural consumers of Vidisha district has been started under the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme. With the implementation of this scheme, the State Government of India has been sanctioned additional loan limit of Rs. 1423 crore by the Government of India.

Aatm-Nirbhar Madhya Pradesh Roadmap

In the “Aatm-NirbharMadhya Pradesh” Roadmap, the expansion program of transmission system for smooth supply of power demand, at a cost of Rs 4000 crores of Green Energy Corridor and tariff based competitive tenders of very high pressure sub-centres and related lines. Construction has been included. 90% of the work in the Green Energy Corridor has been completed. Most of the work will be completed by June-2021. Project work is in progress with an estimated tariff based investment of Rs. 2000 crores, completed by the year 2023 Will be done.
