Lecturers Union assured of necessary measures


A delegation of Chhattisgarh Lecturers Union led by state president Rakesh Sharma met School Education Department Principal Secretary Dr Alok Shukla on the issues of filling up the post of Principals through promotion.

Union spokesperson Jitendra Shukla said that the Principal Secretary of Education told the delegation that the process of promotion is going on, is currently under consideration in court.

On the demand of the union, Dr Shukla said that the Promotion Rules 2019 will be closely examined and appropriate action will be taken. On opening of the English medium school, the demand of not deleting the posts of the current setup of the Education Department said that the seniority in the set up of lecturers and principals who have gone on deputation will remain the same. Setup posts will not be disturbed.

On the discrepancy in the house rent allowance of the employees posted in the school education department, the union said that the house rent allowance should be paid on the basis of the sixth pay. On this, the secretary said that he is not aware of it. After studying appropriate action will be taken. Chhattisgarh Rajiv Verma, Suresh Awasthi, MC Rai, Ved Prakash Shukla, Saurabh Saxena, Rajendra Sahu, Narayan Prasad Tiwari were present on the occasion.
