NIT Raipur students bags first, second place in Research Conclave

NIT Raipur students in Research Conclave

Two students from Department of Computer Application of National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur – Narendra Kumar Rout and Nimisha Gupta bagged first and second prizes respectively at the Research Conclave organised on 23-25th March by NIT Mizoram. Participants from engineering colleges around India participated in the same to present their research and compete together.

The participants were asked to present the Abstract of their topics. Narendra Kumar Rout’s topic was ‘Pair- wise Comparison Approach For Features Weight Assignment in CBIR System’ and Nimisha Gupta’s topic was ‘Development of Computational model for Human Decision Making Process’. Both carried out their research under the supervision of Dr Mithilesh Atulkar, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Applications, NIT Raipur and co-supervison of Dr Mitul Kumar Ahirwal, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, MNIT Bhopal.

The winners were awarded with a cash prize of Rs 5000 and Rs 4000 as the 1st and 2nd prize respectively.

The conclave was an unparelled learning experience for both the winners and they both gave credits their peers, mentors and professors for their achievement.
