Vaccination effective way to curb corona

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that cases of corona are increasing in the state, but there is no need to panic. There is adequate availability of free testing, treatment and beds in all districts. In government hospitals, contracted private hospitals and hospitals identified under Ayushman Yojana, free corona treatment is being provided. For private hospitals, the limit of fees has been fixed, they will not be able to charge more than that.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that vaccination is an effective way to prevent corona. Right now the vaccine is being given to those above 60 years of age and those above 45 who have co-morbidity. From April 1, all persons above 45 years of age will also be vaccinated. People must get Corona vaccinated as per schedule. So far, Corona vaccine has been administered to 31 lakh people in the state.

Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing the situation and arrangements of the corona in the Mantralaya today. Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Director General of Police Vivek Johri, Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman and Additional Chief Secretary Rajesh Rajora were present in the meeting.

5961 general and 8184 oxygen beds

There are 5961 general and 8184 oxygen beds available for the treatment of corona in the hospitals of the state. At present, 18 percent (1092) common beds and 29 percent (2369) oxygen beds are occupied. 82 percent of normal beds and 71 percent of oxygen beds are empty.

Follow traditions while avoiding crowding

Chief Minister Chouhan said that to curb the infection of Corona, it is necessary that everyone should celebrate Holi etc. at home with their families. Perform traditions and rituals without crowding, but obtain the necessary approval from the local administration for this.

Penalty and open jail for not wearing masks

During the district-wise review of corona in the meeting, it was told that fine and open prison action is being taken for not wearing masks and not adhering to social distance noem.

12 thousand 995 active cases in the state

There are a total of 12995 active cases of corona in the state. The state ranks 6th in Corona infection in the country. Corona’s positivity rate in the state is 6.6 percent.

More than 20 cases in 15 districts

More than 20 new cases have been found in the 15 districts of the state. 619 new cases have been found in Indore, 460 in Bhopal, 159 in Jabalpur, 85 in Ujjain, 76 in Ratlam, 67 in Gwalior, 58 in Vidisha, 56 in Betul, 39 in Khargone, 36 in Chhindwara, 32 in Sagar, 26 in Narsinghpur, 25 in Dewas, 25 in Shahdol and 22 in Burhanpur. Instructions were given to send a team of medical experts to Chhindwara.

Command and control centres should work continuously

Chief Minister Chouhan instructed that the command and control centres should work continuously in all districts and monitor patients living in home isolation. Patients should be shifted to the hospital immediately if required.
