District Collector Dr S Bharathi Dasan has issued fresh guidelines for commercial establishments in the wake of rapid surge in Covid cases in the district, effective from April 4.
As per the order issued by the Collector on Saturday, all kinds of permanent/temporary shops, shopping malls, departmental stores, business establishments, and all kiosks and pushcart vendors can run their business from 6 am to 6 pm till the next order. Similarly, Restaurants/Hotels/Bars/Dhabas can run their business from 6 am to 8 pm. Dining, take-away and home delivery services are permitted.
It is to be mentioned, Section 144 is already effective in the district. The order is applicable for commercial centres in the limits of Raipur Municipal Corporation and Birgaon Municipal Corporation. Haat-Bazaar and weekly haat-baazar will remain closed till the next order.
Chaat-Chaupati centres at Telibandha, Budhatala, parks and other such places will have to close at 6 pm. Cinema/multiplexes can run shows till 8 pm. All the gyms, swimming pools will remain closed till the next order. All the shops owners must display the timings of opening and closing of their shops. It is mandatory to wear masks for both shop owners and the customers. Shopkeepers should keep masks for sale. Sanitizers should also be kept by all and it is mandatory. Petrol pumps, medical stores are not under the purview of this order.
