In the worst rail disaster in 40 years, as many as 41 people died including the driver and over 60 wounded after a Taiwanese train derailed inside a tunnel after hitting a truck, which slid of a road leading to a construction site on Friday.

The ill-fated express train was Taipei to Taitung when it was derailed north of Hualien, Eastern Taiwan. There were around 500 passengers including tourists and locals onboard heading homes for traditional holidays.
Some really scary images of mangled train coaches have come out of the site. Most of the trapped passengers along with the wounded and dead were taken out of the crumpled train coaches.
