Raipur (Chhattisgarh), April 14
The mediator team, which played major role in securing safe release of CoBRA commando Rakeshwar Singh Manhas, will accompany the trooper to Jammu for leaving him safely to his home, said Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.

CM Baghel said this while meeting interlocutors and journalists, who played a significant role in the release of Manhas from the captivity of ultras, at his official residence here on Monday. Meanwhile, CM Baghel felicitated interlocutors Padma Shri Dharampal Saini, Jai Rudra Kare, Telam Boraiya, Sukhmati Hapka along with journalist Ganesh Mishra and Mukesh Chandrakar. Besides, CoBRA Commando Rakeshwar Singh Manhas was also felicitated by the CM on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, CM Baghel said the mediator team had displayed a great sense of wisdom and secured the safe release of CoBRA trooper. The entire country had its eye on the chronology of this incident. The release of commando came as a major sigh of relief to the people of Chhattisgarh as well as the country. The team members discharged their duty of responsible citizen and acted courageously.

“I had promised Manhas’s mother that he would return safely and with all your support the promise was fulfilled. With the effort and wisdom of team members, local social leaders, social originations, journalists and local officials, the return of Manhas was secured,” said CM Baghel.
