Vaccination of people above 45 will continue
Chief Minister Chouhan reviews vaccination campaign

Bhopal, April 30

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the Corona vaccination campaign of people above 18 years of age cannot be started from May 1 due to non-receipt of vaccine from the vaccine manufacturing companies. The vaccine is likely to be received on May 3 in the state, hence vaccination work will be done accordingly.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that vaccination of persons above 45 will continue. Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing the Corona vaccination work in the state through video conferencing from his residence on April 29. Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman and all concerned were present in the video conference.

Vaccine to be free of cost

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the Corona vaccine will also be applied free of cost to those above 18 years of age. Vaccinations will be administered as soon as the vaccine doses are received from manufacturing companies.

Vaccines should not be administered in hospitals

Chief Minister Chouhan directed that new vaccination centers should be established in view of Corona infection, vaccination work should not be done in hospitals.

So far 80 lakh 66 thousand 980 doses have been administered

As of April 28, 80 lakh 66 thousand 980 doses of Corona vaccines have been administered in the state, out of which 70 lakh 19 thousand 763 first and 10 lakh 47 thousand 217 seconds doses have been administered. In the vaccination work, vaccine doses have been administered to 7 lakh 53 thousand 333 health workers, 6 lakh 54 thousand 268 front line workers, 33 lakh 26 thousand 172 persons between 45 and 59 years and 33 lakh 33 thousand 207 persons above 60 years of age.
