Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) announced the result of Class X Examination on Wednesday and the result remain 100 per cent with record 96.81 per cent students passing with first division followed by 1.96 per cent second division and 1.23 students clearing the examination with third division. 95.66 per cent boys have passed with first division who have been outshined by their girl counterparts by securing 97.90 per cent results. 2.65 per cent boys got second division while 1.30 per cent girls got second division. 1.68 per cent boys passed with third division while 0.80 girls got third division.
A total of 4,67,261 students were enrolled for the examination held through internal assessment due to Covid-19 pandemic. Out of which 4,61,093 participated in the examination process and all the participant students were declared qualified.
A record 4,46,393 students have passed with first division followed by 9024 with second division and 5676 students got third division, said School Education Minister Dr Premsai Singh Tekam while announcing the results through videoconferencing in the presence of School Education Department Principal Secretary and CGBSE chairman Dr Alok Shukla and CGBSE Secretary Professor V K Goyal. Examination forms of 6168 students were rejected due to different reasons.
The qualified students include 2,24,112 boys and 2,31,999 girls, said the Minister, adding, those who could not submitted assignments and project work given by the schools for unavoidable reasons were promoted with minimum marks.
As the Class X result was declared through internal assessment, the CGBSE did not prepare merit list. Moreover, students cannot apply for revaluation and retotalling this year, said the Minister. Students not satisfied with their results will be allowed to sit in the examination in the future so that they can improve their division. Students can access www.cgbse.nic.in to see their results.
