CGBSE to hold Class XII exam from June

The Higher Secondary School (HSS) Certificate Examination of Chhattisgarh State Boards will be held from June 1. Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) has decided the examination on ‘Examination from Home’ pattern in view of Covid-19 pandemic and safety of over 2.86 lakh students across the state.

CGBSE Secretary Professor V K Goyal said that the HSS students will be given five days from June 1 to 5 to collect question papers from their respective schools. Students can collect it on any date between June 1 and 5. Students need to submit the answer copies to the schools within five days from the date of collection of question papers e.g. if a student is procuring question paper on June 1 then he or she must submit answer copies on June 6 during working hours. Copies can also be submitted on Sunday and holidays. Students are advised to get question papers of their own subjects only.

Students failing to submit answer papers within five days will be considered as absent, said Professor Goyal. Students should write answer on their own instead of taking help of others and the first page of the copy should carry all the information regarding the students such as name, roll number, subject, subject code, signature, date etc.

Students should come to the school and collect answer copies and deposit it personally with signature in the attendance register. If a student procuring 20 pages for writing answer then he or she need to submit the same number of copies mandatorily even if sheets are blank. Answer copies being sent via post or courier then it would not be accepted by the board, said Professor Goyal.

It is mandatory for all the students to follow social distancing and wear masks while procuring and depositing question papers and answer sheets.
