A Chinese national was arrested by the trooper of Border Security Force (BSF) in West Bengal’s Malda while trying to sneak into to India by crossing India-Bangladesh border.

The arrested Chinese national was identified as Han Junwa (36), native of Hubei province in China, said police sources, adding that he was nabbed by BSF troopers when he was illegally trying to entered Indian side on June 11.

From his possession, the troopers have recovered a laptop, two mobile handsets, two pen drives, batteries, SIM cards from Bangladesh as well as Indian and Chinese, money transaction devices, debit cards, US dollors, Indian as well as Bangladesh currency, said the sources.

Sources further informed that in preliminary investigation, it was learnt that the arrested Chinese national, who is a wanted criminal, is allegedly working for Chinese Intelligence Agency. The arrested foreigner had reportedly visited India four times, thrice Gurugram where he reportedly runs a hotel and once to Delhi.
