Refuting the allegation of scam in purchase of land for Ram Mandir by Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, the trust’s general secretary Champat Rai said that every purchase was made in a transparent way and as per the law.

In a statement, Rai said to improve retaining wall and other structure as per the ‘Vastu’, ensure safe passage of devotees and safety of the temple premise, it is necessary to purchase temples as well as houses of people existing in the vicinity of temple and they will be provided land at somewhere else for settlement. For this purchase of lands are being done.

The statement further added that the purchase and selling of land is being done with mutual agreement and proper interaction between the parties. After reaching consensus, the agreements are also signed.

Every type of court fees and purchase of stamp papers in this regard are being done online, said the statement, adding that lands are being purchased as per the agreement and in the same way, the entire amount is transferred to the account of sellers.

Champat further pointed out that after the Apex Court passed verdict on the Shriram Janmbhoomi, people in very large numbers started reaching Ayodhya to purchase land. Similarly, the UP Government is also purchasing lands for the development of Ayodhya resulting in massive increase in lands’ price here.

So far, Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has purchased the lands at a rate lower than the market price, added Champat.

Political parties are spreading rumours in this regard and also misleading the society and the issue is entirely political as well as motivated by political hatred, said Champat.
