Three missing children found dead in water tank

The search for three missing children ended of tragic note after their bodies recovered from a water tank in Eedara village in Agiripalli mandal in Krishna district, police said.

According to police sources, the deceased children were identified as Kagga Sasank (11), Kagga Chandrika (9) and G Jagadish. The kids were drowned in the local water tank. The three children surprisingly went missing on Monday following which a search was launched by Agiripalli police. Following a complaint received from parents of missing children, police have also launched a probe on kidnapping angle as well.

The search for kids ended on Tuesday after locals found bodies in the water tank and alerted police as well as the pained parents, added police sources.

The entire incident gripped the village in shock, tragedy and sensation, said police.

Police have registered an offence in this connection under relevant Section of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and launched a probe. Police have sent the bodies for autopsy and started exercise to gather footage of CCTV cameras installed in the area.
