Blast in special train carrying CRPF

As many as four personnel of CRPF were injured when an explosion occurred on a special train taking them to Jammu Tawi at Raipur railway station on Saturday.

A minor explosion was recorded in a special train of CRPF heading to Jammu Tawi from Jharsuguda at Raipur railway station around 6:30 am, said a senior police officer here.

According to the officer, four personnel suffered minor injuries in the incident, of which one trooper identified as Head Constable Chouhan Vikas Laxman was admitted to a private hospital in Raipur while others leaves with their respective contingent after taking the first aid. Explosion occurred during shifting of a container carrying detonators and HD cartridges. While shifting the container in train, it accidently slipped near the gate of coach number-9 resulting in the blast when the train was stationed at platform number-2.

The troopers of battalion 211 were boarding the train from Raipur when the explosion took place here, informed sources.
